AK Industrial Services cut access holes in the hull of the M.V. Sun, a ship in Brooklyn, NY, in order to access and clean the ballast tank.

By using abrasive jet cutting, also known as mobile cold cutting, AKIS was able to create access holes in the ballast without introducing flame or spark. Cold cutting is safe, efficient, and effective.
