Tank Abrasive Jet Cutting at Tennessee Valley Authority Facility

A General Contractor hired AK Industrial Services to utilize abrasive jet cutting on above ground storage tanks. Using abrasive jet cutting, AKIS cut equipment access holes in tanks owned by the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Abrasive jet cutting is useful for cutting steel in environments where introducing flame or sparks would be hazardous or toxic. By using mobile cold cutting for the tanks owned by TVA, AKIS was able to get the job done efficiently and safely.
